Electric Tandoor Plastic Drip Tray Mould and Moulding Service
Electric Tandoor Plastic Drip Tray Mould and Moulding Service | Renovator Appliances Ltd
Product Overview
Electric Tandoor Plastic Drip Tray is a molded plastic collection component designed to collect cooking drips, oil, moisture, and food residue generated during the operation of an electric tandoor. It can be positioned below or around the cooking area to help keep the internal appliance structure cleaner and simplify removal and cleaning.
Renovator Appliances Ltd provides Electric Tandoor Plastic Drip Tray Mould and Moulding Service for OEM and customized electric tandoor applications. The drip tray can be developed with a defined collection cavity, raised edges, drainage or collection features, locating points, handles, ribs, clips, and other assembly features according to the appliance design.
Because the drip tray may be exposed to hot food residue, oil, moisture, cleaning agents, and elevated temperatures, the selected material should be validated for the actual temperature, food-contact exposure where applicable, chemical exposure, cleaning method, and dimensional requirements.
Key Features
Designed for collecting oil, moisture, food drips, and cooking residue.
Helps provide a cleaner internal appliance arrangement.
Defined tray cavity with raised edges for controlled collection.
Drainage, collection, or retention features can be incorporated according to the design.
Locating ribs, mounting points, clips, or guides can be customized.
Smooth internal surfaces can facilitate cleaning where the selected material and finish are suitable.
Lightweight construction compared with conventional metal trays where plastic is technically suitable.
Consistent dimensions for reliable insertion and removal.
Colour, surface finish, texture, and geometry can be customized.
Suitable for OEM, ODM, and customized electric tandoor production.
Industrial Applications
| Application | Use |
|---|---|
| Electric Tandoors | Collection of cooking drips and residue |
| Electric Ovens | Oil and moisture collection applications |
| OTG Appliances | Removable drip and residue collection |
| Kitchen Cooking Appliances | Cooking liquid collection |
| Countertop Cooking Appliances | Drip management components |
| OEM Appliance Manufacturing | Customized plastic drip tray production |
Manufacturing Process
1. Product Design & Development
The drip tray is designed according to the available installation space, cooking chamber dimensions, expected quantity of collected residue, removal method, and surrounding components. Tray depth, wall thickness, raised edges, locating features, drainage geometry, and handling provisions are considered during development.
2. Plastic Mould Design
A precision injection mould is designed according to the drip tray geometry and selected plastic material. Parting line, gate location, draft angles, cooling channels, ejection system, wall thickness, and shrinkage allowance are considered to achieve consistent moulding and minimize warpage.
3. Mould Manufacturing
The mould can be manufactured using suitable mould steels such as P20 Steel, H13 Steel, or S136 Steel, depending on production volume, dimensional requirements, surface finish, and expected mould life.
CNC machining, EDM, drilling, polishing, mould fitting, and trial moulding can be carried out as required.
4. Injection Moulding
The selected plastic material is processed through an injection moulding machine. Injection temperature, pressure, holding pressure, cooling time, and cycle parameters are controlled to achieve consistent tray dimensions and surface quality.
For larger tray designs, mould filling, cooling balance, and warpage control are particularly important because of the component's relatively large surface area.
5. Finishing & Assembly Preparation
After moulding, components are inspected and trimmed where required. Flash, sharp edges, excessive gate marks, sink marks, short shots, and other moulding imperfections are controlled before the drip tray is prepared for appliance assembly.
6. Quality Inspection
Finished drip trays are checked for dimensions, tray depth, wall consistency, locating features, surface appearance, fitment, and structural integrity. Sample trays can be assembled into the electric tandoor to verify proper insertion, positioning, removal, and clearance.
Raw Materials
| Material | Typical Use |
|---|---|
| PP | Can be considered for suitable heat, moisture, and food-contact applications |
| High-Temperature PP | Suitable where increased thermal capability is required and validated |
| HDPE | Can be considered for suitable chemical and moisture exposure applications |
| PBT | Suitable where dimensional stability and thermal performance are required |
| Heat-Resistant Engineering Plastic | Can be selected for higher-temperature applications |
| Food-Contact Grade Plastic | Suitable for applications where the tray has relevant food-contact exposure, subject to applicable requirements |
| Flame-Retardant Plastic | Can be selected where the appliance design requires specific flame-resistance characteristics |
The final material should be selected according to actual operating temperature, contact with hot oil or food residue, cleaning chemicals, moisture exposure, mechanical loading, and applicable food-contact requirements. General-purpose plastic should not be assumed suitable for direct food contact or high-temperature applications without validation.
Quality Control
Renovator Appliances Ltd follows controlled inspection procedures for Electric Tandoor Plastic Drip Tray production:
Raw Material Inspection: Plastic grade and incoming material quality are checked according to specified requirements.
Mould Inspection: Cavity condition, cooling system, ejection operation, and critical mould dimensions are inspected.
Dimensional Inspection: Tray length, width, depth, wall thickness, locating features, and mating dimensions are verified.
Visual Inspection: Components are checked for flash, warpage, sink marks, short shots, burn marks, cracks, and surface defects.
Fitment Inspection: Sample trays can be installed in the appliance to verify proper positioning, clearance, insertion, and removal.
Surface Inspection: Internal surfaces can be checked for defects that could affect cleaning or residue collection.
Thermal Suitability Review: Material and component performance should be validated against actual operating temperatures and heat exposure.
Food-Contact Review: Where the tray directly contacts food or food residue, the selected material and finished component should be validated against applicable food-contact requirements.
Packaging Inspection: Finished trays are appropriately packed to minimize deformation, scratches, and contamination during transportation.
Buyer Guide
When sourcing an Electric Tandoor Plastic Drip Tray, buyers should consider:
Tray Dimensions: Provide the required length, width, depth, and available installation space.
Collection Capacity: Specify the expected quantity of oil, moisture, or cooking residue to be collected.
Temperature Exposure: Provide expected continuous and peak temperature at the tray location.
Food Contact: Specify whether the tray directly contacts food or food residue.
Material Requirement: Select a suitable heat-resistant and, where applicable, food-contact grade plastic.
Cleaning Method: Consider exposure to detergents, hot water, repeated washing, and cleaning procedures.
Removal Arrangement: Specify whether the tray requires a handle, grip area, pull tab, or other removal feature.
Mounting & Locating Features: Provide details of rails, slots, clips, guides, stops, or locating points.
Production Quantity: Select the mould configuration according to expected production volume.
Quality Requirements: Define dimensional tolerances, colour, surface finish, warpage limits, and fitment requirements.
