Electric Tandoor Plastic Inner Lid Mould and Moulding Service
Electric Tandoor Plastic Inner Lid Mould and Moulding Service | Renovator Appliances Ltd
Product Overview
The Electric Tandoor Plastic Inner Lid is a moulded plastic component positioned on the inner side of an electric tandoor lid. It can provide structural support, component positioning, protective coverage, and a defined interface between the lid assembly and the cooking chamber. Depending on the appliance design, the inner lid can also incorporate openings or features for steam, wiring, fasteners, insulation, or other adjoining components.
Renovator Appliances Ltd. provides Electric Tandoor Plastic Inner Lid Mould and Moulding Service for OEM and customized electric tandoor applications. The component can be developed according to customer drawings, 3D CAD models, existing samples, or application-specific requirements.
Because the inner lid may be exposed to elevated temperatures, steam, moisture, and heat transferred from the cooking chamber, material selection and component design should be validated according to the actual operating conditions and applicable appliance requirements.

| Electric Oven Assemblies | Customized internal cover applications |
| Cooking Appliance Manufacturing | Heat-exposed internal plastic components |
| Heating Chamber Assemblies | Component separation and enclosure interface |
| OEM Appliance Manufacturing | Customized plastic inner lid production |
Manufacturing Process
1. Product Design & Development
The inner lid is developed according to the electric tandoor lid structure, cooking chamber dimensions, adjoining components, available space, mounting arrangement, and thermal exposure. Wall thickness, mounting points, ribs, openings, clearances, and locating features are considered during product development.
2. Plastic Mould Design
A precision injection mould is designed according to the final inner lid geometry. Cavity configuration, parting line, gate location, ejection system, cooling channels, draft angles, wall thickness, and material shrinkage are considered to achieve consistent production.
3. Mould Manufacturing
The mould can be manufactured using suitable tool steels such as P20 Steel, H13 Steel, or S136 Steel depending on production volume, material selection, surface requirements, and expected mould life. CNC machining, EDM, grinding, polishing, and mould fitting are carried out as required.
4. Injection Moulding
The selected plastic material is heated and injected into the mould cavity under controlled processing conditions. Injection pressure, melt temperature, holding pressure, cooling time, and cycle parameters are optimized according to the selected material and inner lid design.
5. Finishing & Assembly Preparation
After moulding, the inner lids are inspected for gate vestiges, flash, warpage, sink marks, and surface defects. Required trimming or finishing is performed, and critical mounting and locating areas are prepared for assembly.
6. Quality Inspection
Finished inner lids are checked for dimensional accuracy, mounting features, openings, surface quality, fitment, and moulding consistency. Components exposed to heat should also be evaluated under the actual operating conditions.
Raw Materials
| Material | Suitable Characteristics |
|---|---|
| PP (Polypropylene) | Lightweight and suitable for selected appliance components where thermal exposure permits |
| High-Temperature PP | Can be considered for applications requiring greater temperature resistance than standard PP |
| PBT | Suitable for selected engineering and electrical applications |
| Nylon / PA | Suitable for applications requiring higher mechanical strength |
| Glass-Filled Nylon | Suitable for higher strength and dimensional stability requirements |
| PC+ABS | Provides a balance of impact resistance, rigidity, and dimensional stability where thermal conditions permit |
| Heat-Resistant Engineering Plastic | Can be considered for elevated-temperature applications |
| Flame-Retardant Plastic | Can be selected where enhanced flame-resistance characteristics are required |
The final material should be selected based on actual operating temperature, continuous heat exposure, steam and moisture conditions, mechanical requirements, dimensional stability, cleaning conditions, and the component's proximity to heating elements.
Quality Control
Renovator Appliances Ltd. can implement multiple inspection stages to maintain consistent Electric Tandoor Plastic Inner Lid quality:
Raw Material Inspection: Verification of material grade, specification, and batch consistency.
Mould Inspection: Checking cavity condition, mould alignment, cooling system, ejection, and critical tooling dimensions.
Dimensional Inspection: Verification of overall dimensions, inner and outer profiles, wall thickness, mounting holes, bosses, openings, and critical locating features.
Visual Inspection: Checking for flash, sink marks, short moulding, burn marks, cracks, warpage, colour variation, and surface defects.
Fitment & Functional Inspection: Checking alignment, mounting, retention, clearances, and compatibility with the lid and adjoining components.
Thermal/Application Validation: Where the component is exposed to heat or steam, material and component suitability should be evaluated against actual operating conditions.
Packaging Inspection: Proper packaging to prevent deformation, scratches, contamination, and transportation damage.
Buyer Guide
When sourcing an Electric Tandoor Plastic Inner Lid, buyers should provide the required dimensions, lid geometry, mounting arrangement, adjoining component details, openings, wall thickness, material requirement, operating temperature, steam/moisture exposure, colour, surface finish, and expected production quantity.
For accurate mould development, customers can provide a 2D drawing, 3D CAD model, existing sample, or complete product specification. If the inner lid is located close to heating elements, the expected temperature range and continuous thermal exposure should be clearly specified before finalizing the plastic grade.
Buyers should also provide details regarding mounting method, insulation or separation requirements, cleaning conditions, and the required clearance from heated components to ensure appropriate product and mould design.
