Floor Scrubber Plastic Solution Tank Mould and Moulding Service
Floor Scrubber Plastic Main Recovery Tank Mould and Moulding Service | Renovator Appliances Ltd
Product Overview
Renovator Appliances Ltd. provides Floor Scrubber Plastic Main Recovery Tank Mould and Moulding Service for manufacturing customized plastic recovery tanks used in floor scrubbers, automatic scrubber dryers, commercial floor cleaning machines, and industrial cleaning equipment.
The main recovery tank is designed to collect used cleaning solution, wastewater, dirt, and debris recovered from the floor during the cleaning process. The tank can be developed according to the machine's available space, suction system, recovery hose connections, drain arrangement, lid or cover interface, float or level-control components, and mounting requirements.
The injection mould is developed according to the required tank capacity, internal and external geometry, wall thickness, inlet and outlet locations, drainage features, mounting points, handles, baffles, ribs, and mating components. Precision plastic moulding supports consistent dimensions, leak-resistant tank construction, reliable fitment, and repeatable production.

Manufacturing Process
1. Product Design & Development
The recovery tank is developed according to the floor scrubber's available space, required capacity, recovery-system layout, suction hose arrangement, drain location, lid interface, mounting points, and internal component clearances. Tank shape, wall thickness, reinforcement, handling areas, and service access are considered during development.
2. Plastic Mould Design
A precision injection mould is designed according to the tank geometry, internal cavity, external walls, mounting features, inlet and outlet connections, drain opening, ribs, bosses, handles, and sealing interfaces. Draft angles, parting line, gate location, cooling channels, venting, and ejection arrangement are considered for consistent moulding.
3. Mould Manufacturing
The mould can be manufactured using suitable mould steel such as P20 Steel, H13 Steel, or S136 Steel, depending on production volume, selected material, tank dimensions, surface-finish requirements, and expected mould life. CNC machining, EDM where required, drilling, polishing, fitting, and mould assembly are carried out according to the approved design.
4. Injection Moulding
The selected thermoplastic material is heated and injected into the mould cavity under controlled processing conditions. Material temperature, injection pressure, cooling time, and cycle parameters are controlled according to the selected material and recovery tank geometry.
For large tank designs, appropriate attention is given to wall-thickness consistency, shrinkage, warpage, weld-line areas, and dimensional stability.
5. Finishing & Assembly Preparation
After moulding, gates and excess material are removed where applicable. The recovery tank is inspected for flash, sink marks, short shots, warpage, deformation, and surface defects. Drain outlets, hose connections, mounting interfaces, and sealing areas are prepared for assembly.
6. Quality Inspection
Finished recovery tanks are inspected for overall dimensions, wall thickness, capacity, mounting features, hose connections, drain interfaces, lid fitment, sealing surfaces, and assembly compatibility. Where required, leak or water-retention checks can be carried out according to the approved inspection specification.
Raw Materials
| Material | Typical Use |
|---|---|
| PP | Lightweight tanks with good chemical and moisture resistance |
| HDPE | Tank applications requiring suitable chemical resistance and toughness |
| ABS | Rigid housing and selected tank-related applications |
| HIPS | Selected economical enclosure or tank applications |
| PC+ABS | Applications requiring a balance of rigidity and impact resistance |
| PBT | Selected engineering applications requiring dimensional stability |
| Nylon / PA | Applications requiring higher mechanical strength |
| Glass-Filled Nylon | Reinforced structural applications requiring higher rigidity |
| Chemical-Resistant Engineering Plastic | Applications exposed to specific cleaning chemicals or demanding environments |
Material selection should consider cleaning solution compatibility, detergent and chemical exposure, water and moisture, impact, vibration, temperature, tank loading, cleaning method, and expected service life. The selected material should be validated against the actual cleaning chemicals and operating conditions.
Quality Control
Raw Material Inspection: Plastic grade, colour, and incoming material condition are checked.
Mould Inspection: Cavity, core, inserts, parting surfaces, cooling system, and ejection arrangement are inspected.
Dimensional Inspection: Overall tank dimensions, wall thickness, openings, mounting points, and critical features are measured.
Capacity Inspection: Tank dimensions and usable volume are checked according to the approved specification.
Connection Inspection: Recovery hose connections, suction ports, drain outlets, and other interfaces are checked for dimensional accuracy.
Sealing Surface Inspection: Lid interfaces, gasket locations, and sealing surfaces are inspected for proper fitment.
Leak Inspection: Where specified, the moulded tank can be checked for leakage or water retention according to the approved testing method.
Visual Inspection: Parts are checked for flash, sink marks, short shots, warpage, weld lines, scratches, deformation, and other moulding defects.
Assembly Inspection: Tank mounting, lid, hose, drain, and machine interfaces are verified.
Packaging Inspection: Finished tanks are packed appropriately to reduce scratches, deformation, contamination, and handling damage.
